Utilizzando un box interfaccia speciale è ora possibile collegare direttamente il sistema di misura originale Zeiss con una scheda Heidenhain IK220 carta PCI.

Box interfaccia
Il cavo in uscita dalla ZEISS ULM viene collegato al box, che viene a sua volta collegato alla scheda IK220 nel PC.
Durante l'installazione del driver, con procedure diverse in base a Windows 2000, XP o Vista, l’indirizzo della scheda IK220 viene automaticamente riconosciuto ed assegnato.
Il segnale viene automaticamente convertito, occorre solo impostare il canale di misura (di norma il nr. 1) e la risoluzione della riga, 20, 10, 8 o 2 micrometri. Questa operazione può essere eseguita facilmente misurando un blocchetto da 10 mm e confrontando il valore inizialmente visualizzato.

Aggiornamento banchi di misura Mahr 828

E' stato effettuato con successo in Svizzera il primo aggiornamento del banco Mahr 828 con scheda tradizionale Heidenhain IK220 e scheda di gestione del tastatore induttivo G4.
Il kit permette ora di aggiornare le macchine di misura Mahr piu' obsolete, dotate di una scheda MEMXU su bus ISA (non più disponibili sui nuovi PC, che dispongono solamente di bus PCI) ad un costo molto inferiore rispetto all'acquisto di una macchina nuova.
Il kit di aggiornamento è basato sul visualizzatore QMSOFT basic, che visualizza entrambi i segnali della riga ottica e del sensore induttivo sull'asse X e sostituisce le funzioni del software originale Mahr di gestione della macchina.
Una importante novità della scheda IK220 è la possibilità di mantenere memorizzato il riferimento della riga ottica incrementale, evitando così di dover spostare il carrello, e di sveltire notevolmente l'esecuzione delle tarature.

Feanor is a global company performing applied research and providing services in metrology and measurement instruments since 1990. Conversion of the original Zeiss measuring system

Using a special interface-box, it is now possible to connect directly the original Zeiss measuring system of the ‘aus Jena’ machine to a modern Heidenhain IK220 card (PCI card with two sockets).

This solution with IK220 PCI allows the use of both versions of QMSOFT 16 bit and QMSOFT 32 bit, without the need of using the original AE101 (H or L) display unit.

The cable of the aus Jena ZEISS ULM machine is connected to a special interface box, which is then connected to the IK220 in the PC slot.

When installing the drivers, with different procedures according to Windows 2000, XP or Vista, the IK220 card address will be automatically recognized (no pin setting).

The original signal is converted and displayed, the only required setting are the setup of the measurement channel (normally nr. 1) and the glass scale resolution in 20, 10, 8 or 2 μm. This can be easily performed by measuring a 10 mm block gauge.

Measurement force

This system can be easily applied to all machines with mechanical presetting of measuring force (spring or deadweight). For all machines with force presetting via software, it might be necessary to keep the machine management software in background. This happens, as an example, with SIP Genevoise series 550 M machines, which need their own LMC software running in background.
